Membership
Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) membership is open to anyone living in the following counties of Southern California: Los Angeles, Imperial, Kern, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara & Ventura. You must be a LAFCU member to obtain credit or use LAFCU services.
Insurance for All Accounts
All LAFCU deposits are federally insured up to at least $250,000 per individual account by the NATIONAL CREDIT UNION ADMINISTRATION (NCUA),
a U.S. Government Agency. IRAs are also separately insured up to an additional $250,000 per individual account. Qualifying joint accounts are insured separately from accounts individually owned by any of the co-owners.
